GENERAL
100 BLACK MEN of America
Founded in 1963, the 100 Black Men
of America, Inc., is a national alliance of leading African American men
of business, industry, public affairs and government, devoting their
combined skills and resources to confronting the challenges facing African
America youth.
Concerned Black Men - National
Organization
Concerned Black Men - National
Organization (CBM) is in its
33rd year of providing youth development services to children from
disadvantaged communities. Through the work of a nationwide
network of chapters located in 31 U.S. cities, and in Pretoria,
South Africa, and an experienced and credentialed national staff
located in Washington, DC, CBM conducts “Best Practices”
programs and projects to support youth and strengthen their
families. Our program models are used by
other CBM chapters and community-based groups nationally. A
male services organization that proudly wears its grass roots
heritage, CBM was founded in 1975 when several Philadelphia police
officers sponsored social events for kids at-risk to gang violence.
The vision of CBM’s founding members has expanded to include
children and their parents nationwide, but the philosophy of men
offering themselves as positive role models to children has remained
CBM’s mission for more than a quarter of a century.

The Hard Hat brotherhood
The Hard Hat Brotherhood is a nationwide,
rapidly growing organization of men who get together for fun and to have
a good time doing "guy stuff". The HH Brotherhood is based on the simple
idea that men sometimes just want to go out and be one of the guys. No
rules, no deadlines, no "honey do" list, no kids needing help gluing
themselves to something....just fun
without worrying about the responsibilities and stress of everyday life
for a few hours. The Hard Hat Brotherhood allows them to do this and be
able to get a little silly too.

The
New Warrior Training Adventure and The Mankind Project
The New Warrior Training Mission Statement: We are an order of men called
to reclaim the sacred masculine for our time through initiation, training, and action in
the world.
The ManKind Project (MKP) is a 501(c)(3) organization with certified
organizational centers in 23 different communities in the United States, Canada and
England. Its stated mission is to assist men in "reclaiming the sacred masculine for
our time through initiation, training, and action in the world." Interaction with the
MKP begins with an experiential weekend "training adventure." The weekend is
followed by ongoing, supportive and self-led "integration groups" formed from
the weekend participants which help integrate the men's changes and new choices into their
daily lives. In addition, there are numerous workshops offered throughout the year to
further assist men's development. Since 1985, more than 10,000 men from diverse races,
faiths, nationalities and sexual orientations have completed New Warrior Training
Adventure weekends.
The Noble Journey
THE NOBLE JOURNEY is, at this time, a set of training experiences
designed to assist a man in the art of connecting to his inner truth and the truth of his
situation. A man's inner truth includes his genetic wiring, his life experiences, and what
has been imprinted in his soul. This group of experiential learning processes
increases a man's self-consciousness, connects him with masculine soul, and informs him of
his life calling.

In

have many safe places to share their innermost feelings, fears and
desires. We may share with our woman, but even then, we are often
guarded and protected. We stumble along, doing the best we can, but
many of us feel there is something lacking. The Bridge was created
to provide a safe place for men to be themselves while also going
deeper into themselves than many thought possible.
